19 December 2014, Friday

The ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted the video meeting with the representatives of municipal districts devoted to measures aimed at legalization of grey labour market.

According to official statistics 350 000 people were employed at grey labour marker as for March 2014 in Tatarstan.

According to the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Protection Elmira Zaripova, the grey labour market is supposed to be one of the common causes for insufficient insurance payments to the Pension Fund.

At the meeting with the Deputy PM Olga Golodets held on 9 October 2014, the following challenges were set: to lower the informal employment by 30% and increase the insurance contributions for compulsory pension insurance by 10%.

In the end of the meeting the Minister noted that municipal districts should hold more interest in legalization of grey labour market, encresing payments of personal income tax as it would cause return of duties into municipal treasury and municipal budget revenues.
