Kazan – Cheboksary Automobile Excursion for Great Patriotic War veterans

A group of veterans of the Great Patriotic war – residents of Kazan have today gone on a two days journey to the neighboring Chuvash Republic. The rout of the excursion ends in the capital of Chuvash Republic – town of Chebaksary. The delegation consists of: participant of the Great Patriotic war – Salingareyev Kasim (1924 year of birth), workers on the home front – Tukayeva Rashida (1929 year of birth) and Tukayev Kamil (1927 year of birth), resident of blockaded Leningrad, Chairman of Kazan City War Veteran Organization, Komyakov Albert (1938 year of birth).

The excursion round Cheboksary include visiting Embankment of the Volga, the Holy Trinity Monastery for men (icon of Saint Nicholas), the square named after  K. V. Ivanov (secrets of the Romanovs family in Cheboksary), the Ivanov street, Cathedral of the Entry of the Most Holy Virgin into the Temple 17th century (“Vladimir Mother of God” – the first icon of Rublev school among the Chuvashes), the Sespel street, the church of Mikhail Archangel (the icon “Pribavlenie uma”), merchant Efremov’s boulevard (Souvenir Arbat).
