Round table discussion on problems of people with disabilities

A round table discussion devoted to the problems of handicapped people was held in Pestretsy. Among the participants were the representatives of societies of the disabled, pharmacy and housing and utilities infrastructure, village heads, the specialists of raion hospital, Pension Fund department, territorial social security office. The event was confined to the International Day of Disabled Persons. During the meeting the specialists discussed the major problems of disabled people: rendering social benefits, social support, provision of housing and rehabilitation equipment, medicaments, health resort treatment, social services, social and medical treatment, accessible environment. The meeting turned out to be rather helpful for each specialist that took part in it.
